Misophonia is often underrecognized and misunderstood, leading to significant distress for those affected. By increasing awareness and understanding among counsellors, we can improve the support and treatment available to clients, enhancing their quality of life and mental well-being.

Biography:

Shaylynn Hayes-Raymond is an LCT-C in New Brunswick, Canada and has an MA in Counsellling Psychology, and BA in Political Science. Shaylynn is the director of the International Misophonia Foundation and has written numerous pieces on misophonia and has been an advocate for the condition since 2015.
