We cultivate adaptive responses over time that allow us to cope with challenging situations. Though these might help us cope at that time, they might hold us back from fully living life. Though we have the capacity to be in the present, often, past experiences and patterns can keep parts of us stuck in our past, weighing on and shaping emotions, thoughts and responses. I view the therapeutic process as a way of opening up space for reviving your self energy, choice, and flexibility in the present. Being able to be more self-assured, assertive and express self in effective and courageous ways.
I work with adult individuals and couples or relationally. I am an integrative therapist, combining body, mind, and spiritual care into sessions. Trained in a variety of approaches (sensorimotor/somatic, IFS/IFIO, brainspotting, DBT, mindfulness, coherence therapy), my therapeutic inquiry is compassionate, nonjudgmental and exploratory. I mainly assist individuals with grief and loss, anxiety and depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation and processing.
