Hi, I’m Cherry, a Registered Social Worker, Counsellor, and Psychotherapist with over seven years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health and addiction challenges. I have a strong background in social work, holding a Social Service Worker diploma, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Social Work. My clinical experience includes working in psychiatric outpatient hospital settings, where I’ve supported clients navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, ADHD, and emotion dysregulation.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique story. I integrate trauma-informed care with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies. I also draw from mindfulness, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches to help clients build emotional regulation skills, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
I am passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. My intention is to help you foster resilience, find balance, and move toward meaningful growth and healing. Together, we can work toward improving emotional well-being, strengthening relationships, and enhancing your overall quality of life.
