Hi, I’m Megan (she/they), a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) offering EMDR therapy and integrative counselling for adults, youth, couples, families, and people in relationships of all kinds.
Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but cannot seem to change. They may be carrying the effects of trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, people pleasing, perfectionism, or experiences that continue to impact how they feel about themselves and connect with others.
EMDR is at the heart of my practice. I also integrate AEDP, parts work, narrative therapy, and somatic approaches, tailoring therapy to each person rather than expecting them to fit a particular model. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma informed, and grounded in the belief that therapy should move at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade working in victim services, first responder settings, and coroner work, supporting people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I also found EMDR through my own healing journey, which is part of why I trust this work so deeply.
I offer virtual counselling across British Columbia and in person sessions in Vancouver. I welcome clients of all identities, backgrounds, and relationship structures.
Areas of focus include trauma and PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, relationship concerns, family conflict, grief and loss, first responder mental health, fertility and pregnancy loss, identity exploration, and life transitions.
