Cultural humility and trauma-informed care are central to my approach. I recognize the diverse ways in which trauma symptoms can manifest and the pivotal role that trauma may play in one’s life. My areas of specialization include healing from trauma and PTSD, sexual abuse recovery, depression, and anxiety.
While I draw upon a diverse range of evidence-based modalities, my practice is firmly rooted in psychodynamic principles. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an approach endorsed by the World Health Organization for its effectiveness in trauma treatment.
In addition to my therapy practice, I am a Clinical Supervisor at Saint Paul University, where I provide guidance, supervision, and training to counselling interns. I am also the Co-Director and lead trainer at Trauma Informed Ottawa, where I provide trauma informed care trainings to community members, agencies, and non-profit organizations.
