I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) based in Calgary and working online only with adults across Alberta. I work most often with men, couples, and high-functioning people who look like they are holding it together on the outside but feel anxious, angry, numb, or stuck on the inside.
Common concerns I see include anxiety, overthinking, anger or irritability, relationship and communication problems, burnout, people-pleasing, and the long tail of trauma or difficult childhoods. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and the pressure many men feel to “just push through” without showing vulnerability.
My style is down-to-earth, direct, and trauma-informed. I won’t sit in silence and nod at you, but I also won’t bulldoze you. Together we slow things down, make sense of what’s actually going on, and build a small set of skills you can use in real life – with your partner, your kids, at work, and in your own head.
I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), existential, parts work/IFS-informed approaches, mindfulness, and attachment- and emotion-focused work, depending on what fits you and your goals. We’ll set clear goals, check in on progress, and adjust as we go, rather than drifting from session to session.
All sessions are offered online via secure video, with some evening availability, so you can attend from home or a private space that works for you. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions, get a feel for my approach, and decide whether working together makes sense.
