My background and supervision areas:
– Honours Bachelor of Science Degree specializing in Neuroscience from Western University & MA Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University
– 5 years experience practicing Psychotherapy, mainly in Private Practice; previous experience working for EAP companies, MVA and WSIB insurance, and conducting psychometric/psychological assessments under Psychologist supervision
– Meets criteria for CRPO clinical supervisor; completed 30-hour supervision course through the University of Ottawa
– YU approved clinical supervisor for students in the MACP program
– Focused practice for individuals 16+ experiencing concerns such as anxiety, stress/burnout, relationship issues, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotion and mood dysregulation, depression, TBI’s, workplace stress, “Millennial” issues, Imposter Syndrome & self-esteem/self-worth
– Additional training and/or certifications in CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT, Brainspotting Level 1, Emotionally Focused Therapy and IFS; uses a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, attachment and strength-based approach that is eclectic and client-centered
