New Feature, Memberships (Beta)
I have been working hard to think of ways to develop and grow Canadian Counselling. Part of this growth will require monetization for some features in order to continue providing software, developer time, and on-going maintenance of the project. However, any form of monetization in my opinion should have value for the community and help bring us together. I have decided on the following features as part of a membership. Currently, these do not include profile listings for counsellors or supervisors as these listings will continue to be free until August 1
st, 2025. After that date, it is likely that future memberships will include listings as part of the offerings. However, those who have profiles before August 25
th will not be required to pay for their listing (for life). Some features might need to be ironed out still.
Canadian Counselling Memberships
- Access to a therapist only forum and social media features. Please note that this is not the same profile as your public therapist/supervisor listing. This is a private profile page similar to Facebook that only members of the site can see.
- Featured Listings (your listing will be on a featured page of counsellors). Featured listings will also be shared on our social media from time to time as highlighted profiles.
- Access to pre-designed resources and printouts to use on your personal website and/or to distribute to clients or in your practice.
- A member-only live messaging chat through the Discord app including a referral chat.
- Discounts on websites and marketing consultation for counsellors (15% off)
About Accounts
Please note that while this is a single website, not all profiles and account features are the same. The listings which are available to the public are
not the same as your membership social media profile. Membership profiles are protected from public view. Your username and email used to sign up for the website gives you access to your purchases (like memberships), membership features, and your counsellor or supervisor profiles. You can edit your clinician/supervisor listing by clicking the “edit” page while on the listing, or alternatively you can go to this dashboard page and click “my listings”.
